PROFESSIONAL COLOR SCIENCE
Custom DCTLs, OFXs & POWERGRADEs for DaVinci Resolve built for colorists who demand precision. Engineered in the field. Calibrated for reality.
A simple OFX based on CDL parameters, useful to auto-match different camera angles when you have subtle differences (different lenses, filters or sensor type)
STRAND_LABS is a project lead by me, Alessio Pallante. I'm a freelance DOP, colorist and BMD Certified Trainer who got tired of workarounds and decided to build precise tools instead, thanks to my IT technical skills.
Every tool released here is battle-tested on real productions — documentary, music video, commercial. If it's in the catalog, I use it myself.
No bloat. No marketing fluff. Just tools that work at the node level, built with the same rigor I apply on set and in the grading suite.
All products are distributed via Gumroad. Purchase is handled securely on their platform — no account needed on this site. You'll receive a download link immediately.
DCTLs go into your LUT folder — DaVinci Resolve detects them automatically. PowerGrades import via .drx drag-and-drop into your Gallery. OFX are installed via Terminal. Every tools comes with a PDF guide for usage and installing.
All tools are designed to be non-destructive and non-opinionated (except for Look Transfer). They works in any color science (ACES, DWG, LOGC, REC709).
If something isn't working or you have questions about integration, send a message. As a one-person lab, I read and reply to every message personally.
Yes. DCTL support is exclusive to DaVinci Resolve Studio (the paid version). PowerGrades in .drx format work on both the free and Studio editions.
Not yet. Currently I'm developing OFX for mac-only systems and they are tested on Apple Silicon chipset (M-Series). Powergrades and DCTLs are compatible with every Operating System. Every tool is downloadable for free and you have a 7-days trial to test the tool. If you like it, you buy it. If not, I'll happy to hear feedback.
All DCTLs are tested and compatible with Metal (Apple Silicon), CUDA (NVIDIA), and OpenCL. They are verified on M-series MacBook Pro running macOS Sequoia and Thaoe (probably still working on older systems but not tested).
Yes. A single license covers personal and commercial use for one user. Redistribution or resale of the DCTL files themselves is not permitted.
Due to the digital nature of the products, refunds are evaluated case by case. If a product doesn't work as documented on your system, get in touch and I'll make it right.
All tools are developed and tested on DaVinci Resolve 19. Compatibility with version 18 is expected but not guaranteed for all features.
